The State Grid said on the 14th that China will initially build the ubiquitous power Internet of Things in 2021. Its completion will help modernize national governance and serve government scientific supervision; Increase the consumption of clean energy; Making the power grid more secure and reliable.

As part of the new national energy strategy, the ubiquitous power Internet of Things mainly focuses on all aspects of the power system, fully applying modern information technology such as mobile Internet, artificial intelligence, and advanced communication technology to realize the interconnection of everything in all aspects of the power system and human-computer interaction. The "Ubiquitous Power Internet of Things White Paper 2019" released by the State Grid on the 14th shows that the construction of ubiquitous power Internet of Things is completed in two stages, the first stage is to initially build the ubiquitous power Internet of Things by 2021. The second phase will be fully completed by 2024.

Wei Xiaojing, director of the Internet Department of the State Grid, said: "Through the construction of ubiquitous power Internet of things, the end users of our energy and power generation are connected to our platform. Connect our users and customers to the platform through sharing. Operating through this platform will enable information sharing and transparency, while increasing our overall ability to provide social services, forming an energy ecosystem and a new model for win-win cooperation."

Relevant agencies are expected that by 2050, China will appear in the terminal energy consumption ratio of more than 50%, as well as the proportion of clean energy in China's overall energy consumption of more than 50% of the new format, the emergence of two 50% will bring great challenges to the development of energy power in China. In order to meet the challenges, the State Grid has proposed the construction of ubiquitous power Internet of Things, hoping to connect a large number of distributed energy sources and large-scale electric vehicles in the future to the overall power grid, participate in the regulation of the power grid, and form a new system of source, network, load and storage interactive energy.

Sun Huadong, vice president of the China Institute of Electrical Science and Technology, said that the ubiquitous power Internet of Things is a "super project" in the field of power, and it is the integration of multiple fields, so it needs a lot of technological innovation and breakthroughs to complete. Sun Huadong said: "In the field of basic chips, we are carrying out key chip technologies such as high-speed encryption and decryption, low power consumption, multi-interface, UHF RFID tag recognition, industrial eSIM, carrier communication, and high reliability."
