What are the components of intelligent switchgear?

The realization and application of intelligent switchgear is one of the important signs that distinguish intelligent substation from traditional substation. The combination of intelligent unit and intelligent component is the premise to realize the predictive maintenance of high voltage switchgear and the key to ensure its safe and reliable operation. Intelligent high voltage switchgear includes four parts: intelligent control unit, intelligent monitoring unit, intelligent identification unit and intelligent components.

(1) The intelligent control unit is used for the monitoring of the switching quantity to realize the control of the electric actuator of the high voltage switching equipment to complete the electric switching equipment operation. Among them, the intelligent "five prevention" blocking control sub-unit can ensure that the switchgear is operated in accordance with certain procedures in various modes of operation, the controller judges each operation according to the pre-stored operating procedures, decides whether it can continue to perform subsequent operations or give an alarm, and indicates that the operation is invalid, so as to prevent the operator from misoperation and ensure personal and equipment safety.

(2) The intelligent monitoring unit is used to obtain the characteristic parameters of the high-voltage switchgear. Through the joint work of multiple monitoring subunits, the characteristic parameters reflecting the working state of the high-voltage switchgear are obtained and uploaded to the back-end device through relevant communication methods.

(3) The intelligent identification unit can intelligently identify circuit breakers, cabinets and other equipment information, and realize contactless information transmission through radio frequency identification (RFID) technology. The body information of the circuit breaker, isolation switch, ground switch, bus bar and cabinet is embedded in the device in the form of electronic tags, and the device information is directly transmitted to the intelligent switching device IED through RFID, and is uploaded to the integrated information platform by optical fiber according to the IEC 61850 protocol, so as to accurately locate and track the device and understand the dynamic information of the device.

(4) Intelligent switchgear IED as an intelligent component, due to its powerful information analysis function and data transmission function, greatly improve the transmission speed of information, and to a unified standardized protocol to the monitoring center, and then truly realize unmanned duty.
