China's first intelligent flexible DC distribution network demonstration project was put into operation in Hangzhou
On August 29, the country's first intelligent flexible DC distribution network demonstration project successfully passed the trial operation test in Jiangdong New Town in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, and was officially put into operation after function upgrading. It is reported that the completion of the project has realized the transformation of the distribution network from the traditional radiation-type to the multi-terminal interconnection network, which can quickly isolate the system failure and restore normal operation within 100 milliseconds, greatly improving the safety and reliability of the Hangzhou power grid.
In 2016, Hangzhou Power Supply Company, in order to build a first-class modern distribution network with high reliability, friendly interaction and economic efficiency, took the lead in launching the research work of intelligent flexible DC distribution network technology. In October 2017, the intelligent flexible DC distribution network demonstration project officially started construction, the rated voltage of the project is ±10 kV, and the total commutation capacity is 30,000 kW.
Hangzhou Jiangdong New Town intelligent flexible DC distribution network project adopts regional coordination control, fault fast location and isolation protection technology to realize multiple power supplies to users at the same time, and ensure the safety and economic load transfer in the case of single power supply failure. At the same time, the project can use the DC power supply mode, without affecting the power quality of the grid, to provide power supply services for users 10 kilometers away, greatly optimizing the power supply capacity of the Hangzhou power grid. The project also has the conditions for barrier-free access to diversified loads, energy storage and distributed power sources, such as electric vehicle charging and replacing facilities, to boost the development of the energy Internet.
In the next step, Hangzhou Power Supply Company will coordinate the coordinated development of power supply and load, build a distribution network structure including hybrid energy storage, distributed power supply, and intelligent DC load, promote the interaction and sharing of all kinds of energy information, develop an intelligent and diversified comprehensive energy service platform based on electricity and the interconnection of various energy sources, and improve the efficiency of the urban distribution network.
