Recently, the first 5G base station during the construction of a hydropower project in China was completed and put into operation in the Shuangjiang Saliva power station of Dadu River Company, a national energy group, marking that the power station has entered a new era of "5G+" smart engineering application.

Shuangjiangkou hydropower station is located in the upper reaches of Dadu River in Aba Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, installed capacity of 2 million kilowatts, is under construction 312 meters high earth core wall rockfill dam is currently the world's highest dam.

As a typical representative of the comprehensive promotion and application of smart engineering of National Energy Group, the project actively responds to the call of national new infrastructure and explores the deep integration of 5G technology and smart engineering. Through cooperation with Sichuan Mobile Company, the first 5G base station during the construction period of hydropower project in China was completed and put into operation at the site of the power station, which realized the coverage of 5G network. In order to promote the application of cloud computing, big data, Internet of Things, mobile terminals, artificial intelligence and other new technologies, and realize the "5G+" application scenario of smart engineering. Help the project construction "five control" intelligent management and control goal to create a good condition.

At present, Shuangjiangkou Hydropower Station has completed the overall planning plan of "5G+" smart engineering application scenario, and clarified a total of 15 specific scenarios in five categories, such as "5G+" network infrastructure platform construction and "5G+" smart dam, and the first three application scenarios were promoted and used at the end of April.
