As a kind of energy storage device, supercapacitor has the characteristics of high power density, fast charge and discharge, long life and safety. However, the lower energy density of supercapacitors compared to batteries limits their commercial application. With a large number of studies, the electrode materials of supercapacitors continue to emerge breakthrough progress, and new supercapacitors have caused extensive research, such as repairable supercapacitors, stretchable supercapacitors, wearable supercapacitors, hybrid supercapacitors and so on.

One is a stretchable and healing supercapacitor based on a double crosslinked hydrogel electrolyte.
