The first DC distribution network demonstration project will be completed and put into operation before the end of June next year

Recently, the "Medium and Low voltage DC Power Distribution System Key Technology and Application Demonstration Project" Pangdong Central Station, located in Yunli Road, Tongli Town, Wujiang District, was basically completed, completing the installation of the first batch of AC and DC equipment. According to the latest news of the State Grid Suzhou Power Supply Company, Suzhou has fully started the construction of the country's first "medium and low voltage DC distribution network demonstration project", which is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of June next year.

"Medium and low voltage DC power distribution System Key technology and application demonstration Project" as a national key research and development plan special, with DC 10 kV, 750 volts, 375 volts 3 voltage levels, after completion will become the country's first DC power distribution network with multiple voltage levels, can meet the user's high reliable power supply, green energy and DC power supply needs. The project consists of three parts: main network side, distribution side and user side, of which the main network side includes two DC central stations (Pangdong Central Station and Jiuli Central station) in Wujiang Economic and Technological Development Zone, and the distribution side includes seven distribution rooms and three photovoltaic booster stations. Up to now, known as the main heart of the demonstration project, Pangdong Central station has been basically completed, which is divided into two buildings in the north and south, covering an area of about 7.3 acres.
