On October 11, the 5 million kilowatts of new energy supporting the Qingyu UHV DC project was fully connected to the grid, which is the largest new energy project completed and put into operation at one time in China. After full power operation, it will provide 20% power support for the Qingyu UHV DC project, and increase the annual consumption of clean energy by 8 billion KWH. At this point, the installed capacity of clean energy in Qinghai reached 89.4%, the installed capacity of new energy exceeded 57.1%, and the installed capacity of new energy and concentrated photovoltaic power generation ranked first in China.

The 5 million kilowatts of new energy projects connected to the grid include 3 million kilowatts of photovoltaic and 2 million kilowatts of wind power. The full operation of the Qingyu UHV new energy grid-connected supporting power grid project and the smooth grid connection of the new energy project will strongly support the operation needs of this power "highway" and effectively meet the needs of the new energy collection and delivery of the two kilowatt clean energy bases in Hainan and Haixi. As of September 30, Qingyu UHV project has exported 2.259 billion KWH of clean energy electricity.

It is reported that the installed capacity of clean energy in Hainan Prefecture, Qinghai Province is 10.15 million kilowatts, and the installed capacity of clean energy in Haixi Prefecture will exceed 10 million kilowatts within the year, and two clean energy bases of 10 million kilowatts are basically completed. Qinghai is becoming an important new energy industry base in China.
