Recently, the National Energy Administration announced the grid-connected operation of photovoltaic power generation in the first half of 2020. In the first half of 2020, China's photovoltaic power generation was 127.8 billion KWH, an increase of 20% year-on-year.

In the first half of this year, China added 11.52 million kilowatts of photovoltaic power generation capacity, 7.082 million kilowatts of centralized photovoltaic capacity, and 4.435 million kilowatts of distributed photovoltaic capacity. By the end of June, the cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation industry reached 216 million kilowatts, the cumulative installed capacity of centralized photovoltaic reached 149 million kilowatts, and the cumulative installed capacity of distributed photovoltaic reached 67.07 million kilowatts.

From the perspective of the new installed capacity layout, the new installed capacity in North China and East China is more, reaching 439 and 2.19 million kilowatts respectively. Among them, Shandong Province with 1.81 million kilowatts of new installed capacity, fault type surpassed other provinces; Jiangsu and Shanxi ranked second and third in the country with 1.13 million kilowatts and 1.1 million kilowatts of new installed capacity, respectively.

From the perspective of consumption, in the first half of the year, China's photovoltaic utilization hours were 595 hours, an increase of 19 hours. The number of photovoltaic utilization hours in Northeast China was the highest, reaching 771 hours, down 19 hours year-on-year. The utilization hours in Central China were the lowest, reaching 493 hours, an increase of 46 hours year-on-year.
