China's industrial Internet development into the fast lane

The State Council Information Office held a regular briefing on the policy of The State Council on August 8, 2019, at which Han Xia, Director of the Information and Communications Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, answered questions about the industrial Internet by pointing out:

The CPC Central Committee and The State Council attach great importance to the development of the industrial Internet.  The Central Economic Work Council proposed to strengthen the construction of new infrastructure such as the industrial Internet. This year's "Government Work Report" also clearly requires the creation of industrial Internet platforms. Under the unified deployment of the Party Central Committee and The State Council, and with the joint efforts of all parties, the development of China's industrial Internet has entered the fast lane.

On the one hand, the three systems of network, platform and security are advancing in all aspects. The network support capacity has been greatly improved. A number of industrial enterprises and information and communication enterprises are actively exploring the use of 5G and other new generation information technology to transform the internal network of enterprises. The identification analysis system has made positive progress, and five national nodes such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing and Wuhan have been built, and 15 industry secondary nodes have been initially established, with more than 56 million identification registrations. The supply capacity of the platform has been strengthened. There are more than 50 industrial Internet platforms with industry and regional influence, and the average number of industrial equipment connections on key platforms is nearly 600,000 units and 1,500 industrial apps. Security systems are also being built. On the other hand, the integration of the industrial Internet in various fields of manufacturing has been promoted in depth. At present, the industrial Internet has been applied in aviation, petrochemical, steel, home appliances, clothing, machinery and other industries, network collaborative manufacturing, management decision optimization, large-scale personalized customization, remote operation and maintenance services and other new models and new formats continue to emerge, the value space of the industry is also constantly expanding, improving quality, increasing efficiency and reducing cost effect is very significant. At the same time, the construction of multi-party coordinated industrial Internet industrial ecology has accelerated. At present, there are more than 1,200 members of the Industrial Internet Industry Alliance composed of industrial enterprises, information and communication enterprises, universities and research institutes, and enterprises in other industries. Industrial cooperation in related technologies, standards, research and development, and application has been continuously enhanced, and cross-border integration of various entities has been increasingly deepened. In the next step, our department will further promote the industrial Internet innovation and development strategy in accordance with the requirements of the "Guiding Opinions", focusing on four aspects of work. First, continue to improve the policy system, promote the industrial Internet innovation and development project, and promote the construction of industrial demonstration bases. The second is to further consolidate the network foundation, build a platform system, and improve security capabilities. Accelerate the development of "5G+ Industrial Internet", strengthen the identification analysis system, select cross-industry and cross-field platforms, build industrial Internet big data centers, and cultivate a number of industrial Internet solutions. Third, accelerate the application and promotion, promote the industrial Internet pilot demonstration, and guide more enterprises to accelerate the integration and innovative application of the industrial Internet. Fourth, strengthen coordination between government, industry, universities and research, promote cross-border cooperation, integration of industry and finance, and integration of industry and education, promote the integrated development of large, medium and small enterprises, and primary, secondary and tertiary industries, and create a sound environment for mutual progress and win-win cooperation.
